Basic first aid for students under 14yrs

This course is a 2-3hr certification course for school aged children under 14yrs of age.

Our course content for basic first aid for children is as follows:

• Calling ‘000’ – under what circumstances
• Water safety – throw an object, never get in the water to help!
• Danger – assessing danger around
• Bandaging
• Burns/Stings/Bites
• Bleeding
• Snakes
• Asthma/Anaphylaxis/Seizures – what to do if you see this in the school yard
• Home auditing – audit handout to audit items around the house (is there a fire extinguisher/fire            blanket, first aid kit in  home and car), including kitchen safety
• Fire/smoke
• Game – What would you do if…..? An interactive game providing students with real life scenarios
